A About the Doctor

Andrew Young, DDS, MS

Dr. Andrew Young is an orthodontist with office locations in Olathe and Spring Hill, Kansas. He specializes in providing children, teens and adults with beautiful, healthy smiles by utilizing the latest in esthetic and comfort-enhancing technology.

Dr. Young has been in private practice since 2004. He graduated from the University of Wyoming with his Bachelor of Science degree and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where he graduated #1 in his class. Here he was inducted into the Alpha Omega and Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental fraternities. Dr. Young then continued on to Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, where he earned his Master of Science and Orthodontic degrees.

He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and maintains memberships with numerous prestigious organizations, including the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Kansas Dental Association, Kansas City Society of Orthodontists and the Southwest Society of Orthodontists. He is a member of the University of Nebraska Alumni Association as well as the Baylor Orthodontic Alumni Association.

In addition to his memberships, Dr. Young has served as an adjunct professor at Baylor College of Dentistry and lectured to many civic and professional groups within the Kansas City area. He has also been published in several peer-reviewed dental journals, and has served on the review panel for the Annals of Pharmacotherapy.

Dr. Young is active in supporting the community and participates in the Smiles Change Lives Program, providing orthodontic care to underprivileged children. He is also a member of Olathe Bible Church.

In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters and his dogs—especially in the outdoors hunting, fishing and golfing. He is a huge sports fan and considers college football and basketball his favorite sports to follow.
